Belgravia Area Guide

Belgravia is in West London in the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  It is one of the wealthiest districts in the world.  Much of it is still owned by a family property company, the Grosvenor Group, owned by the Duke of Westminster.

Belgravia is bordered by Knightsbridge to the north, Grosvenor Place and Buckingham Palace Road to the east, Pimlico Road to the south, and Sloane Street to the west.

It has always been considered as one of London's most fashionable residential districts with exclusive properties, shops, restaurants and residents.  Many fashion houses have their flagship stores and studios based here. It is a relatively quiet district in the heart of London, set in a calm and picturesque style with beautiful white stucco fronted buildings, often with hidden, 'secret' gardens.

One of Belgravia’s most charming features are the picturesque garden squares, including Eaton Square, Belgrave Square and Lowndes Square.  Many past and current celebrities are known to have lived on these streets.

Located within walking distance of Knightsbridge, local department stores are Harrods and Harvey Nichols along with some of the biggest retail names in the world represented.

The nearest Underground stations are Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Sloane Square.  Victoria Station is nearby with Overground, coach interchanges and Underground routes and offers a direct connection to Heathrow Airport.
