Marylebone is an affluent ‘village’ in the heart of bustling Central London in Westminster.  Known for its friendly and cosmopolitan village environment, it is the calm within the mêlée of the West End.
Marylebone Village is surrounded by Regent’s Park, Baker Street, and St John’s Wood.  With Oxford Street bordering one side of the village, and Edgware Road and Great Portland Street to the East and West.
The area has plenty of local shops, both boutique and chains; restaurants, cafes and bars; hotels and tourist sites.  Property ranges from apartments through to houses, with many residential roads mixed with commercial spaces. 
Marylebone has a history of famous residents, with arguably its most infamous ‘resident’ being Sherlock Holmes, the fictional detective said to have lived on Baker Street.  Today, residents include diplomats, ambassadors, actors and actresses, as well as many high profile names in the music industry. 
Marylebone’s most famous store is Selfridges on the Oxford Street side.  It has numerous transport facilities including bus routes, Underground and Overground Stations.
Plenty of world renowned schools are in the area including Sylvia Young Theatre School, Francis Holland, and The Royal Academy of Music.
